    *All animals must be current on all vaccinations including injectable bordetella for our canine friends.   Since vaccinations do not convey immediate protection and need time to build antibodies we recommend that vaccines are done 1-2 weeks prior to staying with us.  We still allow vaccines to be done the day of arrival if necessary, but for the best protection we do recommend the vaccines be done prior to staying with us.

    * All pets must be free of external parasites, such as fleas or ticks, upon arrival or pets will be treated at owner's expense.

    * Holiday boarding - we require prepayment of one night stay to reserve boarding space for nationally recognized holidays, spring break and fall break.  Prepayment is refundable only if the reservation is canceled at least 72 hours prior to the beginning of the holiday as set by our staff.  Prepayment will apply to the balance if the reservation is kept.  We recommend to reserve holiday boarding as far in advance as you can as our facility fills up fast during the busy holidays!

Surgeries & Diagnostics

  • Dental Care

    Naturally you would think that because your dog is a dog it should have dog breath.  This is a common misconception.  You shouldn't have to suffer every time you get a kiss.  Your pet should not have an excessive odor to its breath!  This odor can indicate problems such as dental plaque, calculus, gingivitis and the dreaded periodontal disease.
    There are many products available to treat and prevent dental disease.  Some of the products include enzyme treated chews, oral rinse and finger brush kits complete with tooth paste in pet friendly flavors - just ask us about any of these products!  Like they say, "an ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure".

    Don't like brushing your own pets teeth?
      Let us do it for you!  For a nominal fee, we will brush their teeth with flavored toothpaste and send you home with educational material so you can do at home as well as the toothbrush we used on your furry friend!

    Once dental calculus has accumulated it may be necessary to have your pets teeth cleaned of build up and polished.  Our ultrasonic dental procedures are considered a surgical procedure because we your animal is put under anesthesia so we are able to get a good cleaning on the entire mouth.  Regular dental care and cleaning is the best medicine for a lifetime of good dental health and can extend your pets life as well.  All dental procedures come with a free five-pound bag of Hill's Prescription t/d!

    To promote and encourage dental hygiene, we offer a $25 discount on the dental procedure for your pet during our annual Dental Special.  This special offer starts in January and lasts until mid-March each year.  Please contact the clinic to take advantage of this special!

Animal Wellness

  • Vaccinations and Wellness Care

    We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in animal health and wellness has rewards for both pets and owners. Animal Wellness Exams are helpful in detecting any current ailments your pet might be facing, as well as being good preventative medicine.  They are included in all adult vaccination appointments and are performed by a Veterinarian.

    Adult Wellness
    In addition to annual wellness exams, annual vaccinations are recommended for all pets and required for those that come to stay with us for grooming, boarding or surgery.
       Canine Requirements:
        * Rabies (1-year or 3-year)
        * injectable Bordetella (to prevent kennel cough and included at no charge when vaccinations are done at our clinic)
        * Combo vaccine - DHPP (D = Distemper, H = Hepatitis, P = Parvo, P = Parainfluenza)

        Feline Requirements:
         * Rabies (1-year or 3-year)
         * Feline Leukemia
         * Combo vaccine - FVRCPC (FVR = Feline Rhinotracheitis, C = Calici, P = Panleukopenia, C = Chlamydia)

    Puppy & Kitten Wellness
    Booster vaccinations are an essential part of every puppy or kitten's life in order to boost their immune system to its optimal performance.  All puppies and kittens should begin receiving their booster vaccinations at 8 weeks of age.
    Puppies receive four sets of vaccinations and kittens receive three sets which are done over a period of time.  After a pet has finished its scheduled boosters, it will only require a yearly vaccine to keep it immune system active.

    It is recommended that all puppies and kittens have at least two internal parasite tests around 4-8 weeks apart.  This test determines the presence of internal parasites in which there are a variety of.  Internal parasites are extremely common among puppies and kittens and should be treated.

  • Parasite Control

    Heartworms
    Heartworms can be a fatal disease and is caused by the bite of an injected mosquito.  In order to prevent your dog or cat from getting this disease, monthly preventatives should be given after a negative heartworm test is achieved.  Puppies & kittens can start on heartworm preventative without a heartworm test as early as 8 weeks old.  Monthly preventative will be a life-long regimend along with yearly heartworm tests during annual wellness visits.  The clinic sells a variety of heartworm preventatives to meet your needs.

    Fleas & Ticks
    In Oklahoma, external parasites such as fleas & ticks are almost a year-long problem.  That is why we recommend that all dogs an cats be put on some type of flea and tick preventative year-round.  They are much easier to prevent than to get rid of because infestations take multiple applications to your home, yard and pet in order to completely get rid of the fleas/tick and their eggs.  The clinic offers a wide variety of flea & tick products to choose from depending on your specific needs.

    Combo Products
    We offer products that allow you to give one application each month and will provide not only heartworm prevention but flea and tick prevention as well!  They are not only more cost effective than purchasing two products, they are also more conveinent!

    For more information about parasite control or prices of the different products we offer, contact us by phone or email.   You are able to request products through your pet portal as well!
